Nike has just announced that its newest line of shoes, the self-lacing HyperAdapt series of footwear, will go on sale this holiday season, on November 28th! The shoes have been in the works for years, with the original prototypes dating back to 2011, and are finally ready to hit retail. The HyperAdapts, which will have to be charged like other electronic devices, will have internal cables and pressure sensors built into the shoe itself, sensing when the shoe is placed on a foot. The shoe will then self-tighten its laces, which can be adjusted using buttons on the shoe for a comfortable fit. The HyperAdapt shoes will be able to function for two weeks on a single charge, and will also feature built-in LED lights that will let users know when the shoe is tightening or when it is low on batteries. While there is no official price tag for these shoes yet, the HyperAdapts will surely be a popular collector’s item this holiday season. In the meantime, check out how the shoes work in the video below!

At this year’s E3, or Electronic Entertainment Expo for short, Nintendo had a huge focus on its highly anticipated upcoming Zelda title, and it did not disappoint. The game, unveiled to be titled “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”, will be the newest entry into the Legend of Zelda franchise, releasing on the Nintendo WiiU and the mysterious new Nintendo NX. Players will survive off the land, gathering fruit, food, supplies, and weapons in order to fend for themselves against the dangerous wildlife and giant robots that inhabit the vast open overworld. Nintendo has stressed that the game is very hands-off, allowing players to go wherever they want from the very start of the game. While the game itself won’t release until 2017, Nintendo has provided a very in-depth look into the game’s mechanics, as well as a cool new trailer, seen below. Batman Returns figure from Hot Toys

2015 at 02:01 pm by admin | Comments Off

ArticleBatmanHotToy1

Figure and collectible company Hot Toys has announced the newest entry in its growing line of Batman 1/6th scale figures: the Batman design from 1992’s “Batman Returns” film! With Michael Keaton representing the Caped Crusader in Tim Burton’s classic Batman film, the figure strives to preserve his unique Batman characterization through impressive life-like sculpting and articulation. True to life, the figure cannot move its head, emulating the real costume’s hard cowl preventing movement, but instead offers a number of faceplates to recreate different emotions, and even comes with posable eyes! The figure itself will come with a variety of accessories, including swappable hands, Batarangs, grappling hook, swappable hands, and a unique stand.

ArticleBatmanHotToy2

Along with the new Batman figure, Hot Toys is releasing a two-pack, featuring Batman as well as Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne in dinner attire! This figure features a unique sculpt of the Batman’s unmasked head, which can be used with the Batman figure to emulate his iconic unmasking from the film. While no price or release date has been set for either the standalone Batman figure or the two-pack, Hot Toys has announced that the figures will release later this year.

Muppets to recieve brand-new show

2015 at 11:48 am by admin | Comments Off

ArticleMuppets2015b

Television studio ABC is set to bring the Muppets back to TVs across the nation with a new series! The series will feature the return of a number of beloved Muppet characters like Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and others, but with a twist. The producers of the new series hope to gear the new show towards a more adult audience, who grew up with these beloved puppet characters. The new show will instead focus more on the personal lives of the Muppets, shown off in a comedic documentary-style show similar to fan favorites like “The Office” and “Arrested Development”.

ArticleMuppets2015

Using this opportunity, the directors hope to build upon the individual personalities and relationships of the Muppets not often seen in their previous, children-focused shows and movies. Specifics of the program are still under wraps, but ABC hopes to release more info on this new series later in the year.
