Nintendo announces New 3DS for America & Europe

2015 at 01:31 pm by admin | Comments Off

ArticleNintendoNew3DS1

In a Nintendo Direct media event earlier today, videogame company Nintendo has announced their brand-new handheld console, the Nintendo New 3DS, for international release! The new handheld system, originally releasing in Japan in October 2014, will be releasing in North America and Europe on February 13th, 2015! The New 3DS uses new technology in order to streamline the user experience, including an upgraded processor and auto-dimming screens. The New 3DS also uses revolutionary new face-tracking technology, located in the camera at the top of system, in order to create a user-friendly 3D experience. In older 3DS models, the 3D effect at the top of the screen was achieved through a static stereoscopic 3D effect, making the 3D effect difficult to take advantage of as slight head movement would ruin the effect. Now, the stereoscopic 3D effect is designed to work with the new face-tracking technology to shift its focus as your head moves, making the 3D effect seamless and constant.

On top of that, the New 3DS features a new C-Stick, allowing for more gameplay options, as well as a built-in NFC reader for Nintendo’s popular Amiibo figures. The New 3DS will also release with two new 3DS games that will take advantage of the New 3DS’ capabilities. These games are “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D” and “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate”, both of which are highly anticipated games for the handheld. To commemorate the occasion, Nintendo will be releasing two limited edition New 3DS consoles, each themed around one of the games launching alongside the console. Both games, as well as all versions of the New 3DS, will arrive on February 13th, making that date an exciting time for Nintendo fans across the world. Look forward to these great games, and more in the future!
