Disney and Marvel’s newest upcoming animated movie, “Big Hero 6″, has been gearing up for its fall release in theaters with special trailers, online videos, and figure promotion at events like San Diego Comic-Con. Now, with the movie’s release just over a month away, Disney has released a new trailer, showing off some of the action from the movie as well as detailing some important plot points.



The trailer details some back story between the protagonist, Hiro Hamada, along with his squishy robot Baymax. The trailer also shows off some of the action scenes featuring the two characters and their team of crime fighters, the titular Big Hero 6. The movie is scheduled to debut in theaters on November 7th, 2014, and is sure to deliver on tons of comic book styled action and humor.

SpongeBob SquarePants has been a cultural icon ever since his cartoon debut on the Nickelodeon channel in 1999, receiving various video games, spinoffs, theme park attractions, and even a feature-length film in 2004. Now, Nickelodeon has unveiled the first look at the newest SpongeBob film!



Titled “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water”, the newest film follows Spongebob and friends as they attempt to reclaim a secret recipe stolen by a pirate from above the ocean’s surface. With their journey taking them from the ocean into the human world, the movie will combine the classic SpongeBob 2D animation style with a new CG and live action combination. The movie, which is set to release in theaters in February 2015, will be SpongeBob’s first return to theaters since the 2004 movie.

SpongeBob SquarePants, which began airing in July 1999, is an animated television series following the daily life and hijinks of SpongeBob SquarePants, a talking sponge, in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. The series, which includes characters like Patrick Star, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, Squidward, and more, has since gone on to be Nickelodeon’s most popular and influential cartoon series, with over 180 episodes alongside comic books, films, video games, and theme park rides across the world.

When Marnie Was There full trailer released

Studio Ghibli has released the final trailer for their lastest film, “When Marnie Was There”, alongside the film’s theatrical release in Japan this past week. The film, which is the third Ghibli film to be released within the last 12 months, is directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, who has worked on a number of other Ghibli movies including Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, and The Secret World of Arrietty among others. The movie is based on the novel “When Marnie Was There”, written by children’s book author Joan G. Robinson in 1981. While the film released in Japan on July 19th, no date has yet been set for a stateside release.



The story stars 12-year-old girl Anna, whom is sent away from home to recuperate from her worsening asthma after her parents’ death. There, she finds the mysterious Marsh House, and dreams of it and an elegant blonde-haired girl trapped within. Finding that the blonde-haired girl, Marnie, exists in reality, Anna and Marnie form an unbreakable bond and work together to overcome fear.

Star Wars has been going through a revival over the past year, as news and announcements have steadily been released regarding the new sequel trilogy, directed by J.J. Abrams, alongside a new series of animated movies. Two new pieces of juicy information regarding these projects have just been released, giving fans more insight into the bright future that the Star Wars franchise has in store for us!



First off is the reveal of the classic X-Wing starfighter, re-imagined for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII! The newly released video continues to remind viewers of the Force For Change initiative, which is a joint effort from Disney, Lucasfilm, and Bad Robot in order to raise funds for UNICEF’s Innovation Labs and to benefit children in need. Every fan who pledges at least $10 to this effort has a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience, including a free tip to London to get a behind-the-scenes look of Episode VII as VIPs, with meet-and-greets with members of the cast and even a guest appearance in Episode VII! The new film is scheduled for release on December 18th, 2015.



A brand-new, full length trailer of the upcoming Star Wars Rebels animated movie was also released, showing off never-before-seen footage of the new series! The new movie, which is set to take place in between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, follows the tale of a small band of insurgents fighting against the iron grip of the Galactic Empire, and will focus on the origins of the Rebel Alliance. The new movie is set to release in October as a one-hour special on the Disney Channel, and will then be followed by an episodic series on Disney XD.
