2011 Munny Design Contest
It’s finally here! The new 2011 Munny Design Contest at TOMODACHI. So get involved, get hyped, and get ready to not only see some awesome designs, but unleash the power of your own inner creativity.
If you haven’t made a Munny before, no worries, it’s fun and easy to learn. Be sure to check out our page on Munny to learn more about this unique vinyl canvas. This is going to be an open-themed contest, so put on your thinking caps! Make sure you stop by TOMODACHI and pick up a 4” and/or 8” Munny and get started on your masterpiece!
Now here’s the best part – PRIZES! We will be giving out gift cards and goodies. On top of that, each winner will have their Munny displayed in TOMODACHI’s first art show; I LOVE VINYL! How awesome is that?!

2011 Munny Contest Rules*
THEME
Open theme (this means you can make anything!) We only ask that you make your Munny appropriate for all ages. All Munny’s must created after March 1st, 2011. Both 4″ and 8″ munny would work! You can enter up to three designs, so please feel free to submit multiple entries!
ENTRY PROCESS
Very simple. Just follow the steps below and everything will be fine.
Step1: Pick up Munny(s) at TOMODACHI or anywhere. Retail price is $9.95 plus tax for the 4” Munny and $24.95 for the 8” Munny.
Get your parent’s permission if you’re under 13.
Step 2: Design and decorate your Munny(s) and fill out the included name tag. Be creative!
Name tag should be filled out as following:
Front: Name your Munny (be creative!) By____________ (Your first and last name)
Back: Your contact info. (phone and e mail)
Step 3: Submit your Munny(s) with nametag(s):
Just swing by the store and tell a TOMODACHI employee that you are submitting an entry for the contest! Or you can ship it to our Rosedale store. We’ll keep it safely on display for you while the contest is going on. The deadline to submit your Munny(s) is Aug 21st, 2011 by 6pm.
Announcement
We will announce the winners of the 2011 Munny Contest on August 28th, 2011. Winners will be contacted via email and posted to Tomodachi’s website.
Judges: TOMODACHI Artists and TOMODACHI friends’ Vote.
PRIZES
The entries will be split up into two age group categories; 16 years and under and 17 and older. We will have full prize support for both age groups, so don’t worry about missing out on the good stuff! The Prizes are as follows for both categories:
16-
Grand prize: $100 gift card +Spot in Art show
2nd prize: $50 gift card + spot in art show
3rd prize: $25 gift card + spot in art show
17+
Grand prize: $200 gift card + Spot in Art Show
2nd Prize: $100 gift card + Spot in Art Show
3rd Prize: $50 gift card + Spot in Art Show
Best in categories
Winning entries in each category will receive a 4″ MUNNY!

All winners will have their Munny on display at our first art show, ‘I Love Vinyl’ As always, all participants will receive a surprise gift from TOMODACHI!

DUNNY 2011 release party!

Dunny2011
Dunny 2011 is almost here! Featuring designs from 15 amazing artists, this set is definitely one you don’t want to miss. There are 18 super awesome Dunnys including zombies, slugs, robots, and even a gumball machine! The world’s greatest vinyl canvas just got crazier for this all-new 2011 series. Each Dunny is 3-inches tall — some include accessories and some don’t; all are waiting to blow your mind! As an added bonus, there are secret mystery parts included – collect all the KRONK bones to complete the set!

We are very happy with how successful this project was and would like to Thank KIDROBOT for providing us with great toys!, Tomodachi will continue to hold Munny Art workshops, bring special guests, and encourage emerging and established artists in the Minnesota Community. Clay Workshop-Dessert Time!

It’s Dessert Time!
Oh yummy! Those look delicious, but wait! You must be careful! Those aren’t exactly edible, they’re cute little bakery charms made out of special imported clay. At the workshop you’ll learn how to handcraft delicious charms and to customize it to your liking, whether you like lots of sparkles or tons of frosting, it’s yours to design.
All that sounds pretty exciting, and it is, but the best part about this is that it’s completely free! We’re providing the expertise, tools, and material’s needed to start and finish this sweet workshop.
Interested? Tomodachi is holding this yummy Dessert Time workshop on the 22nd of May at the store in Rosedale Mall by Borders. Here we will have Tomodachi Artists* guide you into ‘baking’ yourself a charm out of special air-dry-clay. We’ll be making fun little desserts like layered cakes with frost, layered rolls, cute little strawberries, sprinkles and so much more! Don’t miss out; come join us for a great time.

Masu project is completed!
