JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure, a long-standing and extremely popular action-adventure manga in Japan with a cult following here in the States, has recently been confirmed for a new anime adaptation come October. This new series, titled JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: The Animation, and will be created to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary.

The manga follows the Joestar family, who battles against monsters and mythical beasts have become staples in the anime and manga industry. While the new anime adaptation will stay faithful to the manga’s storyline, they have announced that they will be bringing in top names from around the industry to work on the series. This includes Takako Shimizu, who previously worked on Samurai Champloo, as character designer and chief animation director, Kenichi Suzuki, who has worked on Golgo 13 and Gundam AGE, as episode director, and Yasuko Kobayashi, who is known for his work with Trigun and Casshern SINS, who will handle the series composition.

With all these big names working on such a timeless classic, JoJo’s Bizarre Adveture: The Animation is sure to please longtime fans of the series, as well as newcomers. Watch for this new show, which will begin airing in October!
