We just couldn’t wait to see your awesome creativity, so we are announcing another Munny Design Contest! If you haven’t participated before, don’t be shy! Munny is a DIY, or do-it-yourself toy, that is easy to learn and comes with unlimited possibilities. If you’d like help or need inspiration, check out our How to Make Your Own Munny guide or swing by the store and check out some of the amazing designs from last year. Not convinced yet? Prizes will also be given out, including gift cards, goodies, and a spot in the art show to each winning design.

Contest Rules*

The theme is once again open, so feel free to let your imagination flow and create whatever you want. We only ask that your design is appropriate for all ages and that your design is created after May 1st, 2012.

Submission Deadline: October 14th, 2012

Entry Process

Step 1: Purchase your Munny

Munny toys can be purchased at Tomodachi or other sources. Retail price for the 4″ Munny is $9.95 and for the 8″ Munny the price is $19.95. Please ask for a parent’s permission if you are under 13.

Step 2: Design and Decorate/ Fill out your Name Tag

Time for the fun part! Let your imagination run wild to design and decorate your Munny. A name tag will be included with your Munny, so please fill it out with the following information: Front- your Munny’s name and By______ (your first and last name); Back- your contact information (phone and email).

Step 3: Submit your Munny and Nametag

Drop by the Tomodachi store, located in Rosedale Mall and tell an employing you are submitting your entry for the Munny Contest. You may also ship your Munny to the Rosedale location at:

Your creations will remain safely on display during the contest.

Winnners and Prizes

Winners are decided by Tomodachi Artist and customer vote. Winners for the September 2012 Munny Contest will be announced  October 21st and contacted by email. They will also be posted on Tomodachi’s website.

There are two categories of prizes: 16 and under and 17 and older. Both categories will receive prizes. And the prizes are (drumroll please!):

16 and under:

Grand Prize: $100 Gift Card + Spot in Art Show

2nd Prize: $75 Gift Card + Spot in Art Show

3rd Prize: $50 Gift Card + Spot in Art Show

17 and older:

Grand Prize: $100 Gift Card + Spot in Art Show

2nd Prize: $75 Gift Card + Spot in Art Show

3rd Prize: $50 Gift Card + Spot in Art Show

Honorable Mentions

Each category winner receives a munny(4″). The categories are:

Best Use of Pen, Best Accessories, Best Use of Color, Best Minimalist Design, Best Use of Materials, Best Dressed, Best Celebrity/Anime/Cartoon Character, Most Innovative, Funniest Munny

In addition, all participants will receive a surprise gift from Tomodachi!

All winnners and honorable mentions will be on display for an upcoming Tomodachi Art Show. We would like to display your submission for 30 days at Tomodachi but you will get your work back.
