Andrew Bell, born in England in 1978 and a citizen of the eastern US since 1980, has been an artist of many trades. Ranging from work in illustrations and paintings, to producing toy lines and sculptures, his work has also varied in its tone and message. While a majority of his work carries a simplistic and humorous stylization and tone to it, these only serve to highlight the more grim and serious message behind his pieces.

After freelancing for various companies such as Marvel Comics and Nickelodeon, Andrew has had a multitude of exhibitions in the past seven years, showing across the nation and even overseas in France. Some of his more popular work, though, is distinctly in the world of figures.

Working with his own personal company, Dead Zebra, Inc., Andrew has produced a line of figures representing various selections of his 2D work in the world of vinyl. These include pieces such as the Groobs, his first venture into toy production, and other pieces such as the humorous Zlinks and the morbid Giver toy line. He has also collaborated with larger companies and corporations in order to produce iconic character designs and toys.

Most notably, Andrew has worked with Google to produce a series of collectibles based on their Android mascot, and has produced designs alongside kidrobot for their Dunny toy lines. With his most recent contribution being the set of limited edition Android designs at this year’s Comic Con, Andrew and his company show no signs of slowing down, and promise to continue producing interesting and unique figure designs for all tastes.
