Revealed last month in Japan, DX Soul of Chogokin Mazinger Z makes its first appearance stateside at Comic Con 2012! Towering above other Soul of Chogokins at almost 12 inches in height, DX Mazinger Z stands as both a celebration of Mazinger Z’s 40th anniversary and of Soul of Chogokin’s 15th anniversary.

Many innovations to the Soul of Chogokin line are housed within Mazinger Z’s frame, most notably a light and sound gimmick incorporating LEDs in both the head and chest, which imitate Mazinger Z’s famous Photon Beam and Breast Fire attacks. It also comes with incredibly detailed inner workings, allowing removal of all armor plating around the figure to reveal all of Mazinger Z’s mechanical innards. Finally, Mazinger Z comes with a complete hangar facility for both storage and display use; this hangar contains LED spotlights to illuminate Mazinger Z from below, as well as decorative cranes around the hangar.

All of this, on top of the breath-taking die-cast sculpting and articulation that is commonplace among the Soul of Chogokin line, makes the Mazinger Z a priceless addition to all  collectors and Mazinger Z fans alike!
