” None of this would have been possible without the many hands folding for many hours!! We had over 2800 volunteers putting in over 8600 hours during the course of this project and we still aren’t finished!” -Anna @ Brain Injury Asso. of MN

-We did it! Through your support and effort, 100,000 origami cranes have been folded; one for each person in Minnesota living with a disability due to brain injury thank you for being part of Cranestorm-Wishes in Flight over the past year. We appreciate all you have done including folding and stringing cranes, inviting friends and family to participate, educating others through the project and helping to make an often invisible disability visible. This project would not have been possible without you.
Through Cranestorm, many people shared their stories of how brain injury impacted their life. During open houses in Minneapolis and elsewhere in the state, people sat elbow to elbow transforming paper into beautiful cranes. This act acknowledges the transformation brain injury brings to each person’s life and triumph of the human spirit to live an engaged and purposeful life despite the obstacles brain injury presents.
Come and see the installation of all 100,000 cranes at CreateAbility, May 20 through 22 during Art-A-Whirl in Northeast Minneapolis, This installation will continue to educate our communities on the impact of brain injury.
