Tomodachi

Tomodachi is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Shea, Inc. (a design firm integrating expertise in brand development, marketing communications, architecture, and interior design) to create a series of Artist Designed Munny for an exciting new Japanese restaurant, Masu Sushi and Robata! Located at 330 E. Hennepin Avenue in NE Minneapolis, Masu is consulting with James Beard Award-winning Best Chef Midwest, Tim McKee to create a new dining experience and all of us at Tomodachi are thrilled to be a part of it.

We are currently working with a team of core artists brought together through the new Tomodachi Artists group to create these Munny, but because of our commitment to the artistic community, we want to open submissions to all our friends. We are very excited to give you the chance to have your artwork on display at Masu Sushi and Robata!

Here are the rules:
• You may submit any new or existing Munny as part of this contest.
• We recommend that your Munny include sculpture, extra materials, or anything with texture!
• Try to be imaginative or fun and colorful with your designs!
• The Munny MUST be an original design. We will not accept any fan art.
• The Munny should not be in comic/manga/anime style.
• The Munny should not be scary, gory, or unsuitable for display in a restaurant environment.
• All designs MUST be submitted by March 26, 2011. There will be no extensions for this contest.
• The winning Munny designs will be on permanent display at Masu Restaurant. That means if you win, you will not receive you Munny back.

Tomodachi will select designs in both 4 inch and 8 inch Munny categories. More than one design may be selected, so submit as many as you like!

Winners will receive:
• $100 gift card for each 8 inch Munny.
• $50 gift card for each 4 inch Munny.
• Winning Munny will be on display at a special gallery show at Tomodachi from March 27 – April 8.
• After April 8, winning Munny will then be on permanent display at Masu Sushi and Robata.
